Steven Abbey

Steven is a Senior Architect with particular expertise in later-stage delivery of urban residential projects, having worked extensively across RIBA Stages 3–5. He was the project architect on a major residential development submitted under the new Building Safety Act Gateway 2 process, and has since developed specialist knowledge in Building Regulations Principal Designer responsibilities, completing the RIBA BR PD modules and supporting practice teams in this emerging role.

Alongside his previous residential experience, Steven has contributed to a range of projects, including the Grosvenor East Building for Manchester Metropolitan University. At Howells, he is involved in projects such as Pocock Street in a BR PD Client Advisor role, and 100 Broad Street at Stage 4 Gateway 2.
