Our vision for the first phase of a 1,000-home masterplan in Wolverhampton, West Midlands, has been given the go-ahead.
Director Fraser Godfrey, said, “Smithgate represents a once-in-a-generation opportunity to repair and connect this strategically important part of Wolverhampton in a way that meets the needs of people today. As well as providing great homes within the city centre, the masterplan will deliver high-quality space for local businesses, cafes and restaurants.
“Working closely with ECF and City of Wolverhampton Council, we have developed a strategy to deliver a new vision for a liveable city - an integrated, walkable city district comprising re-defined public squares and streets, sustainable homes and crafted buildings.
“With planning consent now secured, we look forward to delivering the first phase and helping to boost Wolverhampton’s economy, increasing footfall and bringing more people back to live in the city centre.”
