Housing Design Award finalists

Three of our projects have been shortlisted in this year's Housing Design Awards.

Two completed schemes, the Octagon and the Bath House, both in Birmingham, have made it onto the shortlist. While Thames Road, a masterplan in East London, which secured planning in January this year, has also been named a finalist.

The Octagon, the 370 build-to-rent tower for clients City Developments Limited and MEPC, represents a new generation of high-rise living: a tower that builds smarter with less material, challenges conventional typologies, and proves that facade innovation can drive both sustainability and architectural character.

Meanwhile, across the city in Southside is the Bath House, a new anchor within the neighbourhood—a confident, characterful development that draws inspiration from the area’s industrial past and architectural heritage. Arranged around a central courtyard garden, five principal buildings range in height from seven to 19 storeys.

Thames Road will be a 6.1-hectare riverside neighbourhood that demonstrates how housing, social infrastructure and public realm can work together—bringing together a new primary school, generous public spaces, a lively high street and an accessible riverside walkway connecting Lyle Park and Thames Barrier Park. Thames Road supports living, working and social life, with over 1,600 homes and workspaces.

Winners will be announced in the Autumn. Congratulations to all the project teams, collaborators and clients involved.
